Yes! Lake Michigan offers wonderful swimming. The beach has a gradual sandy entry, making it great for all ages. Water temperatures are warmest from July through early September. The lake is freshwater with no currents or tides, though waves can pick up on windy days.
Cell service can be limited in this area depending on your carrier. We recommend using Wi-Fi calling, which works perfectly with our 100 Mbps fiber internet connection. Verizon tends to have the best coverage in the area.
The nearest grocery store (Family Fare) is about 10 minutes away in Montague. For a larger selection, Meijer is approximately 20 minutes away in Muskegon. Walmart also offers delivery to the cottage.
Yes, we allow one dog with prior approval and a pet fee. Please let us know about your furry friend when booking. We ask that pets stay off the furniture and are never left unattended in the cottage.
The cottage has a private driveway with space for 2-3 vehicles. We also have a NEMA 14-50 outlet for Level 2 EV charging—just bring your own charging cable.
